do.not.omit.me makes it easy to schedule without leaving anyone out. Keep reading to find out what data we collect and why.

What we collect

• Poll details. When you create a poll, we store its title, description, the slots you offer, and the dates you selected.
• Names and emails. Anyone who creates or joins a poll provides a name (required) and, optionally, an email address. Email is used to send invitations, reminders, the finalized-time notification for polls, and password reset emails.
• Availability responses. The slots you mark as "available" or "if need be" on a poll are stored against your participant record so the organizer (and the poll's heatmap) can see them.
• Account data. If you create an account, we store your name, email address, a securely hashed password, and preferences (e.g., dark mode, pro subscription status, email suppression requests). We do not store your password in plain text.
• Invitations. If an organizer invites you by email (a pro feature), we store the invited address and timestamps for when you were invited, reminded, and responded.

What we don't do

• We omit everything we don't need to store to provide functionality.
• We do not employ ad trackers or third-party scripts. The site does not load anything from outside its own domain.
• With the exception of our payment processor and email provider we don't sell or share your data with anyone.

Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary first-party cookies — no analytics, advertising, or third-party cookies:

• Session. Keeps you signed in after you log in.
• Participant identity. Remembers who you are within a single poll you've joined, so your availability saves to you.
• Anonymous polls. Remembers polls you created without an account, so they still show up for you.

Because these are essential to the site working, there's nothing to opt out of — we show a brief notice explaining them and otherwise leave you alone.

How long we keep it

Poll data (including participant names, emails, and availability) is automatically deleted about a year after the poll's last offered time slot, or sooner if the poll's organizer deletes the poll, which removes everything associated with it. Account data is kept until the account is removed. If you'd like your data removed sooner, contact the poll's organizer or delete your account from the dashboard. If a deleted account ever had pro, we retain only a non-reversible hash of its email address and the pro expiration date — so the one-time free trial stays one-time — and nothing readable. We may also remove stale data to improve performance of the site.
